Antibacterial protection

  • Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Listeria monocytogenes, Salmonella enterica, Bacillus cereus, Klebsiella pneumonia and Pseudomonas oeruginosa have been completely removed from the treated surfaces after cleaning. This has not been the case with surfaces treated with traditional paint where the bacteria have remained on the surface even after cleaning.

20 mm panels treated with easy-on™ Series 200 durability coating were tested for bacterial growth for 5 days.


The growth of seven pathogenic species was monitored over a period of time by adding bacteria diluted in culture media from two nutrient agar plates.


The tests showed that the panels treated with easy-on™ Series 200 prevented the colonisation and growth of the bacteria Staphylococcus aureus, Listeria monocytogenes, Salmonella enterica subs. enterica and Pseudomonas aeruginosa after a three-day incubation period.


The survival of the bacteria Klebsiella pneumoniae was also significantly reduced.
